我先回答左邊那顆, 這種東西在蝦場早期還有東沙海域的蝦源中可發現一些, 換句話說, 這種厚蛤的深度跟東沙峨螺, 東沙穀米螺...差不多, 在厚蛤科裡算是難得有如此深度的種類(因為大部分都是淺海種), 我亦困擾許久, 查了不少書籍都遍尋不得, 前年十月多奧古喬司來台參訪時, 在演講事後我曾請教並送一枚標本給他, 奧古一開始看到標本外表也被綠色殼皮矇騙誤以為是銀錦蛤科的某個種類, 以下是他回日本後的來信內容...

A bivalve from Pratas Island is NOT Lamellinucula (sorry for the previous misidentification!). I identified this Crassatellites quadrates Noda, 1980 originally described from the Shinzanto Formation, southeastern Okinawa Island (fossil)

之後我問他相關資訊, 回覆如下

The original description was based on a fossil, thus the bathymetrical ranges of this species have never been known. However, the associated (concurrent) molluscan fauna is not intertidal-sublittoral one, but mostly shelf to bathyal , e.g. Malletia, Bentharca, Parvamussium etc.
Please refer to the paper by Noda, H. (1980) Molluscan fossils from the Ryukyu Islands, southwestern Japan. Part I. Gastropoda and Pelecypoda from the Shinzanto Formation in southeastern part of Okinawa-jima. Science Report of the Institute of Geoscience, University of Tsukuba. Section B-Geological Sciences, volume I, pp. 1-95, pls. 1-12.
