紅彩筆螺,Nebularia rubritincta,在4200種一書,是一隻胖殼,敘述: 相當常見,潮下到20米深.

先檢視Hardy網頁中的圖,全部是瘦長殼,分三群:

第1,4,6,7殼是Nebularia gracilefragum.

第2殼是粗斑的死殼.

第3,5殼是Nebularia lienardi.

紅彩筆螺的Lectotype是C佬訂定,所以敘述以C佬文章為準:

1.barrel-shaped,是胖殼.

2.The coarse and crude axial folds and undulating spiral threads are characteristic of the species.

  粗而明顯的縱肋,及波浪起伏(高低落差明顯)的環肋,是他的特徵.

這隻殼相當常見嗎?

E.G. de Suduiraut網站裡沒有收到.

Hardy7隻全錯.

菲國海貝專書第2册,P佬19mm,深度100-150米的深海殼,完全符合這個敘述與lectotype的照片.

4200種的紅彩,比起上圖,體層上的縱肋並不自然,是被生長痕侷限而整個殼層隆起( 像是關島夏威夷的金桔 ).

2004筆螺圖譜M-14,2,2,是正確的殼.

Nebularia lienardi細高,環肋間隙淺,又沒有隆起的縱肋,居然會被前人與Nebularia rubritincta列為同種異名,實在是一大謬誤.筆螺圖譜將二者都列為有效種名,才是對的.

所以請您更正您的新紀錄為lienardi.
